Evolutionism's Thought Police Strike Again
by Sean Meek, Director of Project CREATION
In a book titled 1984, George Orwell wrote of a society where not only
was all behavior dictated by the government, but even a persons
thoughts were watched over by the "Thought Police". People who had
"wrong" thoughts were "reeducated" until they got it right.
Evolutionists are doing all they can to see that that kind of society
becomes a reality. One example of such thought policing is happening at
a publicly funded Texas university today. Professor Michael Dini of
Texas Tech University requires students who want a letter of
recommendation from him to, in his words, "truthfully affirm a
scientific answer to the question of human origins". Which really means
a student must profess a belief in the religion of evolutionism. A
letter of recommendation is required by most universities to get into
advanced educational programs and Dini believes that anyone who doesn't
believe in the religion of evolutionism, as he puts
it "the most important theory in biology", should be
in any biology related field. Dini goes on to say that
"Good scientists would never throw out data that do
not conform to their expectations or beliefs", even though
evolutionists routinely ignore any data that contradicts their
religious dogma of evolutionism.
What is interesting about Michael Dini is that he is either incredibly
naïve or deliberately disingenuous. Evolutionist Stephen Jay Gould is
at least honest on this point, "The stereotype of a fully rational and
objective 'scientific method', with individual scientists as logical
(and interchangeable) robots is self-serving mythology". Evolutionist
biologist Richard Lewontin makes this whole issue crystal clear when he
said: "We take the side of science (evolution) in spite of the patent
absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of the tolerance of the
scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we
have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism (atheism).
It is not that the methods and institutions of
science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the
phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a
priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of
investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations,
no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the
uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is an absolute,
If the Lord is abandoned as Creator, He will soon be lost as Savior.
for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door." Dini is also
unbelievably arrogant, for by his standard true giants of science like
Isaac Newton, Louis Pasteur, Joseph Lister, George Washington Carver
and Werner von Braun, to name just a few, would not be allowed to
receive any advanced education, for they all believed in Creation. What
evolutionists like to ignore is that the greatest scientists have been
Creationists and that faith in evolutionism has significantly retarded
advances in true science.
What is happening here is nothing new. Many teachers, professors and
researchers have been removed for daring to question the religion of
evolutionism. Evolutionists know that they cannot win with the facts,
so they seek to intimidate with fear. For they know that they need
total control of the public schools in order to use them for recruiting
children into the religion of evolutionism. One example of their
success in recruiting is the case of Darrell Lambert. Lambert is a
19-year-old who earned his Eagle Scout status at 18. In an interview
over his refusal to follow the Boy Scout oath by affirming a belief in
God, he said that he was converted to atheism in the ninth grade in a
public school where he was persuaded that science (evolution) had
disproved the accounts of creation given in the Bible. Michael Dini
claims that he doesn't want to be discriminatory toward anyone's
religious beliefs, but cases like Darrell Lambert give the lie to such
claims. Evolutionists fight to preserve their monopoly on publicly
funded education in order to keep using them as recruiting centers for
their religion of evolutionism.
