No Leftovers Here!

For over one hundred years evolutionists have been telling people that there are useless organs, so called vestigial organs, in the human body. These so-called "vestigial organs" are supposed to be "left-overs" of our evolutionary past. These organs were supposed to have been useful to our animal ancestors, but humans supposedly "evolved" beyond needing them.

One hundred years ago, evolutionists claimed that over 180 organs in the human body were vestigial, left-overs, including the pituitary gland (actually involved in regulating growth), thymus gland (really part of the immune system) and the coccyx (tailbone) to name just a few. The coccyx, for example, is where the muscles of our lower body attach, permitting us to stand upright not a useless organ at all!

There are even evolutionist books today that label the appendix as useless, even though it has been proven to be an important part of the immune system of young children. The real definition of a vestigial organ is "any organ for which a purpose has not yet been discovered."

In the case of the appendix, doctors had been removing appendixes from adults for years with no apparent effect on the people involved. Evolutionists assumed from this fact that the appendix had no value, based on this assumption, evolutionists did no further research on the appendix and labeled it "useless". Only as a more complete scientific investigation of the immune system progressed was the real purpose of the appendix discovered and the prejudiced judgment of the evolutionists set aside.

One hundred years ago, 180 organs were claimed to be "vestigial".    Over the years those 180 organs have been reduced to a mere handful still claimed by evolutionists to be leftovers as real scientific investigation has demonstrated the foolishness of the prejudices of the evolutionists. Evolutionists so desperately want some kind of evidence to support their evolutionary story telling, they will see or not see whatever makes their story sound better.

Evolutionists claim that evolution is the uniting principle in biology. What faith in evolution has really done, though, is to lead researchers down blind alleys that sets real research back many years.

The fact is that there are no vestigial organs. God designed us, and didn't include unnecessary parts. The human body, like all the rest of creation, does groan under the curse of sin. But even in our present deteriorated state, God's design still clearly shows through.

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Psalm 139:13-14
