Dr. Raymond Damadian, MRI Inventor - A Creationist Who Created Science
One of the greatest scientists of the 20th and 21st centuries is Dr. Raymond Damadian inventor of the basic technology of the MRI, magnetic resonance imaging. MRI allows doctors to see a 3D view of the human body. Like most innovators Dr. Damadian faced opposition to his ideas, specifically from theoretical physicists who knew that magnetic resonance would never work for medical imaging. Despite the naysayers, Dr. Damadian persevered and was eventually granted a patent for his invention. But a patent is only effective if it is defended and he had to do that in court and in 1982 his patent rights were upheld.
Dr. Damadian has received numerous scientific awards for his scientific breakthrough with one notable exception, the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Ironically the Nobel Prize was given to two doctors for their innovative use of the MRI, but not to its inventor. Why this happened was never explained by the Nobel committee, but most observers, Christian and atheist, believe it is because not only is Dr. Damadian a Christian, he is a Biblical Creationist. He has made it clear to anyone who would listen that he believes the Bible to be an accurate historical and scientific explanation for the origin of the human race, the Earth and the Universe.
One of the many lies that evolutionists regularly repeat is that no true scientist is a Creationist, blithely ignoring the fact that virtually all modern scientific disciplines were founded by Christians, Newton, Faraday and Pasteur to name just a few. Although science was hijacked by evolutionists who promoted their religion of evolutionism at the expense of true science, many scientists have seen that there is no conflict between science and the Bible.
