Why It Matters! Goodbye to the Big Bang?
Wait long enough and the truth will pop out. Approximately 100 years ago some evolutionists invented the Big Bang story. For the first 50 years of its existence it was ridiculed by the evolutionist establishment as nonsense, until the 1960’s. In the 1960’s cosmic background radiation was discovered and suddenly what had been loudly proclaimed for years as errant nonsense became irrefutable fact, until now.
The cover story in the April 2011 edition of the evolutionist magazine Scientific American is titled “Quantum Gaps in Big Bang Theory – why our best explanation of how the universe evolved must be fixed – or replaced”.
The Big Bang story and it is a story not a scientific theory, because a scientific theory is a well tested hypothesis, is that a long time ago a speck of infinitely dense energy emerged out of nothing and then suddenly expanded into the Universe we now inhabit. Several questions never really answered by evolutionists are where did the speck come from and why did it suddenly expand. But evolutionists are really good at ignoring inconvenient problems as they have done with the Big Bang story. When the 3-degree cosmic background radiation was discovered in the 1960’s Big Bangers were ecstatic, until further analysis showed that the radiation was too smooth to have been created by the Big Bang. So never being without an answer no matter how absurd, an evolutionist simply massaged the data until he got the answer he wanted, voila problem solved, at least for the evolutionists. All the while that the evolutionist establishment was painting a rosy picture of the Big Bang, the problems were festering and being ignored, until now.
After the Big Bang story was accepted by the evolutionist establishment it was discovered that there was not enough matter in a supposedly Big Bang created Universe. There is about 90% too little matter, so the evolutionists simply invented “dark matter”, matter that cannot be seen or detected, and suddenly the problem was “solved”. After more observations of the Universe the evolutionists interpreted the data as indicating that not only was the Universe expanding, it was accelerating in its expansion. No problem, the evolutionists then invented “dark energy”, energy that can’t be detected but is supposed to be powerful enough to move galaxies.
All of the evolutionists “solutions” to the problems of the Big Bang story are just desperate attempts to prop up an idea that was nonsense from the beginning. Perhaps the saddest part of the whole thing is how many Christians have staked their whole theology on the Big Bang. Ministries like Reasons to Believe out of California have distorted Genesis out of all recognition in order to make it fit the Big Bang even as more evolutionists are abandoning it. It will be sadly ironic if the last people defending the Big Bang were those compromising Christians who have staked their salvation upon it.
A real simple rule of life is this, if something is presented as contradicting what the Bible tells us, wait a while and the truth will come out to show the accuracy and authority of the Bible. The Bible has been tested again and again for thousands of years and found to be true every time, evolutionism is constantly having to be propped up, as its flaws become apparent even to evolutionists.
