Why It Matters! Who Cave Men Were and Were Not
Cave men are regularly depicted as comic figures in cartoons and commercials. Second only to dinosaurs they are the most common way that evolutionism is presented to the public, especially to young people.
Evolutionists have been very successful in promoting to the general public the idea that ancient people were hairy, ignorant creatures, in other words apemen. Recently they even broadcast one of their so-called "documentaries" called Clash of the Cavemen supposedly showing a battle 25,000 years ago between Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons. The program was nothing but a cartoon for adults, but many people will be fooled into believing that they were actually seeing historical events. Sadly many Christians have unwittingly accepted this idea. I can't even count the number of times that while I have been doing Traveling Creation Museum tours and when I discuss Cave Men children begin imitating the caricatures of Cave Men that they have seen so many times.
Cave men did exist, but they were not hairy brutish creatures, they were our relatives, either distant cousins or many times great-grandparents. Cave men and of course cave women and cave children were by and large refugees from the Dispersion of the human race at Babel.
God separated the people by creating 70 languages for each of the 70 families that were at Babel. While a few of these families from Babel had the skills and numbers necessary to rebuild civilization, most of them would just be scraping by and some of them would have ended up living in caves. It is somewhat ironic that the cousins of the people who ended up living in caves built the glittering and magnificent ancient civilizations of Egypt, Sumeria, the Indus River Valley and China.
Caves are an easy way to get instant housing. People have used caves to live in for millennia. In the caves used by the Babel refugees have been found paintings, tools and musical instruments, hardly the leftovers of apemen.
One of the things that Christians need to do is to consciously de-evolutionize their minds and do all they can to help keep the children around them from having their minds evolutionized in the first place. The means of promoting the religion of evolutionism will go from cave men to dinosaurs to a hundred other stories that evolutionists have invented in order to promote their religion, Christians need to be knowledgeable enough to tell people the truth about God's Creation, including the truth about cave people.
