Why It Matters! A “Missing Link”, this one named “Ida”, Found Again! Or Why Evolutionists Are So Easily Fooled
One of the things that is most interesting in watching the behavior of evolutionists is seeing how easily and regularly they are tricked over the finding of some so-called “missing link” as supposed “proof” of evolutionism. A variety of these “missing links” such as Neanderthal Man, Piltdown Man, Nebraska Man, Lucy (Australopithecus afarensis) and Archaeoraptor have been promoted to the public over the years as “proof” of evolutionism only to be later discredited in one way or an other. Neanderthal Man has been proven to be just another variety of human, Piltdown Man was a manufactured fake of an ape man, a human skull and ape jaw, Nebraska Man was a pig’s tooth that wishful thinking turned into an “ape man”. Lucy was a composite of at least two creatures that was later shown to be nothing more than a fossil chimpanzee. Archaeoraptor was promoted as “proof” of dinosaur to bird evolution, but was later proved to be a fake, a fossil dinosaur tail glued onto the fossil body of a bird. The latest so-called “proof” of evolutionism is nothing new.
The fossil, nicknamed Ida, was hailed as a “missing link” between primates, a group of animals that includes humans, and the general vertebrate population. Ida is a nearly complete example of a creature very similar to a lemur, an animal that in appearance is about half way between a raccoon and a monkey. It was assigned a date of 47 million years old. While the fossil itself is quite real, all the rest of the story is pure fiction, nothing more than speculation based on assumptions based on preconceptions. The evolutionists involved in this fossil find saw what they had already decided that they were going to see. This particular fossil was declared a “missing link” because it shared some
characteristics of different species of animals, but that is a meaningless standard. The best known animal with shared traits is the duck-billed platypus.
The platypus has a bill like a duck, a tail like a beaver and produces venom like a snake. But interestingly enough the platypus is never used as a “missing link” between any animals. That is because research has shown that the platypus is not changing into anything else, but fossils are a lot easier to make up stories about than living creatures. In the case of Ida a lemur-like fossil was found and then forced to fit into an invented story of evolution.
This fossil is still being hailed as “proof” of evolutionism, just as at one time all of the other “missing links” were used as so-called “proofs” of evolutionism. Each one of these “proofs” was later debunked as a fraud, but not before each one achieved its real purpose, which is getting headlines for evolutionism in front of the public. Eventually Ida will join the dustbin of evolutionary history when its flaws are discovered, only to be replaced by some new “proof” of what can never be proven, the religion of evolutionism.
