Seeing What Isn’t There: Dark Matter Stays Dark
A central belief of most evolutionists is the Big Bang story of the beginnings of the Universe. The speculation is that about 15 billion years ago an infinitely dense speck of energy popped into existence out of nothing, then expanded trillions of miles in a few minutes and out of this chaos the Universe somehow formed itself.
The story was invented in the early 20th century, but was not generally accepted by evolutionists until the 1960’s. Then, as with all evolutionary fairy tales, the problems started to arise. Astronomers had measured the size of the Universe and came up with what they thought should be the amount of matter in it. Unfortunately for Big Bang believers the amount of matter that they had determined to be in the Universe was only about 1/10 the amount of matter that evolutionists believed would have been created in a Big Bang produced Universe. Evolutionists are never at loss when it comes to inventing stories and so they invented another one, this one called dark matter.
Dark matter is claimed to be matter that cannot be seen or detected, the only “proof” that dark matter exists is that its existence is required by the Big Bang story, so all the data used by evolutionists is forced to fit the story.
In the June/August issue of the evolutionist magazine Discover is an article titled “Chasing Dark Matter” about the 75 year long search for dark matter, so far without any success. Several astronomers in the article cited as evidence of the existence of dark matter the observation that some distant galaxy were not falling to pieces as quickly as the evolutionists expected it to happen. Of course the reason for their expectations regarding galactic disintegration is their faith in the Big Bang story. Of course another explanation for the lack of galactic disintegration is simply that the Universe isn’t billions of years old, but is relatively young. Of course evolutionists would not even consider this explanation because it doesn’t fit their religion.
Dark matter, dark energy and string theory are just a few of the stories invented by evolutionists to try to make their invented stories fit reality. Unfortunately for them, reality isn’t as flexible as they would like it to be, so they have to keep remaking their stories when inconvenient truth intrudes.
