The Heart is Deceitfully Wicked
All truth is Godís truth, but sometimes that truth can be inconvenient. An article in the January 2006 edition of Discover titled Deception Plagues Medical Research highlighted that fact as it reported on a University of Minnesota survey that found that 1/3 of several thousand scientists funded by the National Institutes of Health admitted, anonymously, to serious ethical lapses, such as fabricating data. What attracted my attention to this article was my on-going correspondence with Ellie. Ellie is someone I only know from our email correspondence who identified herself to me as having a Ph.D. in biology. When I pointed out the religious nature of evolutionism, she vehemently denied it, writing that scientists were dedicated to finding the truth, regardless of where it led. When I told her about this report, she just replied that it was an exception and that scientists were only interested in the truth.
What people like Ellie choose to ignore is the obvious reality that science is conducted by people, with all the good and bad that that implies. Creationist Louis Pasteur went against the established scientific beliefs of his day when he said that life only came from life and could not arise from non-living sources. Thru careful and meticulous experiments he proved that he was right, turned the scientific world upside down and established modern
medicine. Creationist physicist Russell Humphreys, knowing from the Bible that the Solar System is only a few thousand years old, predicted that the moons of Saturn would have strong magnetic fields. Evolutionist astronomers and physicists with their belief in the invented age for the Solar System of 4.6 billion years stated that this was impossible. When satellites flew by Saturn they detected strong magnetic fields from its moons.
Where you start both morally and scientifically will determine where you end up. The dominant religion in the scientific world today is evolutionism. Evolutionism has no objective standard of conduct except that if it feels good do it. The amount of fraud in the scientific community is increasing as more scientists practice the evolution they preach.
